HIBOU MAGAZINE IS A STUDENT-RUN ONLINE MAGAZINE ON POLITICS AND CULTURE. IT IS DESIGNED TO CREATE VIBRANT, NUANCED DIALOGUE ON FAR-RANGING TOPICS. WE PROVIDE A PLATFORM AND COMMUNITY FOR WRITERS OF ALL BACKGROUNDS TO VOICE THEIR EXPERIENCES, INVESTIGATE SOCIAL ISSUES, AND PURSUE THEIR ARTISTIC ENDEAVORS.

Letter from the Editor

Since 2017, Hibou Magazine has been publishing the academic, critical works of AUP students, across a wide range of subjects. This year, we wanted to highlight student writings on Legal issues; fostered at AUP by the History, Law, and Society undergraduate major, the Law Society Club, and the MA program in Diplomacy and International Law.

Thank you to Roman Zinigrad, Assistant Professor of Law at AUP, for proposing this project last year, and for supporting me and the Hibou Team throughout its duration.

Congratulations to all the AUP students who contributed their writing to this publication, as well as their time and hardwork.
